Sam was born and raised in Delaware and is a University of Delaware alum. Between growing up playing in her grandfather’s garden as well as enjoying her grandmother's Italian Sunday suppers, food runs in Sams's family! Sam developed her love for beautiful ingredients while working in the kitchen of The House of William and Merry where she worked her way up to Executive Sous Chef. Sam was a part of the team that opened The Defined Hospitality Group’s Condesa and El Techo in the Pod Philly Hotel, acting as head butcher and Sous Chef for those restaurants. She has most recently worked at Defined Hospitality’s Fishtown gem, Suraya. The Peach Blossom Eatery is a reflection of Sam’s love for the humble breakfast and lunch food she was served as a child, elevated by her fine dining training.
